I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and began dancing at a young age. I attended Saint Mary's College in Moraga, CA, and under the direction of CatherineMarie Davalos, I received my BA in Performing Arts with an emphasis in Dance. Throughout my 4 years at Saint Mary's College I studied the Humphrey-Limon Technique as well as the Cunningham Technique. I went on to perform with the Davalos Dance Company, a Modern Dance company based out of Berkeley. During my time performing and choreographing with the Davalos Dance Company I performed at the ODC Theater in San Francisco in Pilot and Flight performance venues as well as in Works in the Works in Berkeley.

In 2005 I moved to New York City and started working in collaboration with two other choreographers to form The Movement Collective. The Movement Collective had its first performance with Open Floor Dance at Dance Forum in March 2006 and continued to self produce two shows per year through 2009. In 2009 I graduated from NYU, Steinhardt School of Education, with an MA in Dance Education and K-12 Teaching Credential.
In 2010, I returned to the Bay Area and began working as a Dance Teaching Artist for Luna Dance Institute, a dance education nonprofit in Berkeley. While working at Luna, I was able to bring standards based dance education to underserved schools in the Oakland Unified School District.

I am very excited to join the team at MSA as the Director of Dance and looks forward to sharing my love for the art of dance with the students and their families.
